O que vos nunca cuidei a dizer (never did I dare to tell you one thing) is a gallery piece that touches on issues of modality, transhumanism and cultural archaeology. A creative imagining of a song long-lost, this solo work presents its interlocutors with an almost private, carefully facilitated interaction with sound, movement, and lyric materiality. The work is also a stripping down of soloistic language and intimacy, where electronic aesthetics coexist with the archaic forms and imagery of the ayre.
My role as part of the team of artists consists in the design of the wearable gown to be worn by Carrasco during the performance. In addition, the audience will go through a brief bodily induction to open up their bodies and souls to intimately answer to the following questions: Which are those things I did not dare to tell when I had the chance?
This piece will be presented at the Bendigo International Festival of Experimental Music.
