I am pleased to announce that our paper has received an Honourable Mention award at the ACM DIS 2025 Conference in Funchal, Portugal. ⭐ Our article is titled “Searching for the Words that ‘Feel Right’: Resonating with our Bodies and Felt Senses Through Haiku and Large Language Models (LLMs)”. In our research, we explore how LLMs can serve as tools for embodied introspection and reflection by conducting a series of first-person, collaborative studies involving poetry, the introspective Focusing method, and ChatGPT to guide our bodies in the search for meaning-making.
We contribute two design qualities for the development of LLMs for self-reflection that embrace ambiguity, moving beyond data-driven and solutionistic approaches.
The paper is open access, and it can be downloaded directly from the ACM library
