Crafoordska Stiftelsen Research Grant awarded- Towards Repurposing LLMs as Tools for Embodied Introspection.

In this one-year project, Towards Repurposing LLMs as Tools for Embodied Introspection, I, along with Pedro Sanches (co-PI, Umeå University), will investigate how large language models (LLMs) can be used to create novel journaling and writing-based tools that support embodied introspective practices. We will continue our research on how searching for words that feel right can help us care for ourselves while envisioning meaningful and somatic ways to engage in self-reflection. We aim to contribute (1) ethical guidelines in the use of LLMs for embodied introspection and (2) the ideation of new technologies and practices to support introspection. I am particularly interested in which creative and embodied practices we can foster beyond the interaction with LLMs. We were awarded 4 KSEK to develop our ideas, which include a series of workshops.
